Veins collect the deoxygenated bloods from the organs including other parts of the body except lungs and heart to supply the blood to heart and lungs. On varying grounds, the walls of veins gyrate and turn thicker abnormally. Including this abnormal thickness, veins may twist and turn or get enlarged as well. Primarily there are two types of major veins in the body. One is superficial vein and the other called deep veins. Blood travels from superficial veins to the deep veins on their way back to the heart. Superficial veins are closely attached to the skin and the deep veins are encased in depth by the muscles and connective tissues which help to pump the blood back to the heart.
